Black International Film Festival
Call for Entries - 2009

The Birmingham Black International Film Festival is calling for film submissions for this year’s festival due to take place in Birmingham, UK, 26th Oct – 1st Nov 2009. We are seeking films from the UK and worldwide. Submissions are not exclusive to people of colour but must either feature people of colour, address Black issues, be produced by people of colour or involved people of colour who have had significant role in the film’s production. Chosen submissions will be screened throughout the festival and on festival associated visual platforms. All films selected for the festival will also be entered into the BIF Festival's competition and winners will be announced at the MVSA Awards at the ICC, Birmingham on 31st October 2009.

PLEASE NOTE - Early submissions are encouraged with all entries being submitted to a prize draw. Early Bird entry closes August 13th. The deadline for all submissions is 26th September 2009.
