Launch of Black International Film Festival The Black International Film Festival gets on the way with the usual fan fair. This year the festival Launch will be at the Midlands Art Center (MAC). Launch of Africa Film Week Come and see all the glamour and spectacular culture of Africa : Fashion, Music, Dance and food. Mix and mingle with the stars of Nollywood and then see our premiere movie. Join in on our Q&A session and get answers to all your question about this growing industry from the insiders. This is an event not to be missed. Venue: The Drum, Time 6:30 till 11:00pm

Catch some of the best movies submitted to the festival this year in our day long movie marathon Venue Library Theatre, time 11:00am till 5:00pm

Women’s Business Conference (BERI Business of Entertainment Related Industries)

We are happy to announce the return of our womens business conference. The venue this year is the MAC, This one day event will focus on key areas of business for start up and growing businesses. In the wake of our recent  disturbances, the Bif Festival has collaborated with the Birmingham central library, skillset and Aspire 4 u to host a one day seminar in film and entertainment. This event will consist of workshops in film making dj ing music production and will include a panel discussion with industry celebrities Venue Midlands Art Centre (MAC) , time 11:00am till 4:00pm

 African Film Week

African Films Week continues with a taste of the African Caribbean. This will be an opportunity for you to sample fusion cuisine from the Caribbean and Africa and enjoy the film for the night – Damage  Venue: The Drum, Time 6.30pm  till 11.00pm

The Annual Pre Awards party is back in a new location. This is an evening of sophistication and glamour and will rival any festival in the UK . Enjoy the casino, live band and the screening of the best shorts submitted to the festival – Invitation Only
